How to use mold: 1) Cook a hard-boiled egg and remove the shell while egg is still hot. (Peel under warm water if needed.) 2) Immediately place hot egg into mold, making sure the yolk is in the center. Gently close top of mold against egg and lock it. 3) Submerge in cold water for 10 minutes for shape to set. 4) Remove the prettily shaped egg from mold and enjoy!
Notes: ~ Wet inside of mold if you are afraid the egg would stick. ~ Let the shape of the mold guide where the egg should go, placing the yolk part of egg at the widest part of mold. ~ There may be extra bits of egg white being pressed out at the sides. Simply remove with sharp knife. ~ For colored eggs, add the coloring before molding. Put peeled egg into colored hot water until color is achieved before placing it into mold. |
