ORDERING INFORMATION

We have one of the best Online Store Policies anywhere, including our Satisfaction Guaranteed Return Policy! Before placing an order at Old Shanghai Online, be sure to read our policies.

Placing Orders
You are free to browse our products and add them to the shopping bag. When you are ready to check out, click on the "Shopping Bag" link at the top of every page and fill out your information. We ask that you review your order carefully prior to submission, as it may not be modified once submitted.

Order Confirmation
Upon successfully placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation number as well as an email that states your order number and the list of products you have purchased. Please remember to provide us with a valid email address! If you do not receive any confirmation, please place the order again or contact us for more information.

Payment Options
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
You can also take advantage of PayPal's added security, whether or not you have a PayPal account. Simply select PayPal at checkout. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Sales Tax
We are required to collect local sales tax for residents of California. Sales tax is currently 8.5%. Sales tax does not apply to orders that ship outside of California.

E-Gift Cards
If you have received an OldShanghaiOnline.com E-Gift Card, you can redeem it during checkout. Enter the code in the "Coupon Code / Promotional Code" section and click "Apply". Your order total will be adjusted accordingly. If the total exceeds the amount of your E-Gift Card, your account will be charged the outstanding order balance. The information on your credit card will not be used for any other purpose.

Order Updates
If one or more products in your order are out of stock, we will email you within 48 hours with expected availability. You may cancel the order if the product will be unavailable for over 2 weeks. If we do not receive any response about the out-of-stock product(s) and other order changes within 1 week, we will ship the rest of your order without the missing items.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

We guarantee that all orders are shipped within two (2) business days of order date. However, to ensure that you will not wait long to enjoy our products, we make every attempt to ship all in-stock items as soon as possible once your order is received. It may be possible that your order ships within one business day. If there is any unforeseen delay to your order, you will be notified as soon as possible.

During high volume holiday seasons, we guarantee that we will ship your order within three (3) business days of order date.

Be rest assured that we carefully inspect all of our merchandise before shipping it to you. We want to make sure that you get only the best from us!!

Changes to Orders
Since we have developed our system to ship orders as soon as possible, an order cannot be changed once it is submitted to our processing and shipping departments. If you would like to add to an order, please place a new order. If you entered an invalid address, your order will ship to that address and be returned to us. Any reshipment will result in additional shipping charges.

Delivery Times
We work with UPS and United States Postal Service (USPS) to provide cost-effective shipping throughout the United States and Canada. Because we individually review delivery options for each and every order to find you the quickest, most cost-effective solution, items that are ordered together may not necessarily be shipped together.

The following shows the estimated time it takes for an order to reach you after we have shipped it.

• Above estimates apply to orders placed before 12:00 noon (Pacific Time).
• UPS delivery service is not available on Saturdays.
• Both USPS and UPS delivery services are not available on Sundays and public holidays.

Oversized / Heavy Items
Freight surcharge may apply to oversized or heavy items on top of the calculated shipping charges shown during checkout. It will be indicated on the item page if such freight surcharges will apply. We will contact you within 2 business days to confirm any updates on shipping charges to your order.

Canada Delivery
USPS Priority International is the only available option for orders shipping to Canada. If you need expedited delivery service, please contact us at custserv@oldshanghaionline.com. Delivery transit days to the recipient will vary depending upon the destination and customs clearance.

Duty and Tax
Duties, taxes (including value added tax) and any associated charges are the responsibility of the recipient. Old Shanghai Online have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Duty, customs tariffs and VAT are set by the local government and determined based on a combination of the country of origin or manufacturing of the goods being purchased and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system adopted and used by the local government. Please contact your local customs office for further information on customs clearance charges.

RETURN POLICY

Our 30-Day Satisfaction Guaranteed Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your kimono, iron tea pot, or anything at all, we will gladly take care of it for you!

Return Request
To ensure that the return process is handled promptly, you must obtain a Return Authorization Code (RA#) before returning your order to us. Once you decide that you need a return, preferable within 14 days of receipt to ensure that your return is valid, email your request to custserv@oldshanghaionline.com with the following information:

  1. Order Number
  2. Buyer Name
  3. Item(s) to be returned
  4. Reason for return

You will receive an RA# within 2 business days of your request. Items returned without an RA# will not be accepted. Kindly note that all return packages must be received within 30 days of the original delivery date. If you have not heard from us after the specified time frame, email us again.

Returning Merchandise
Enclose a copy of the email and the original merchandise with all tags in the return package. Label the package clearly with the RA#. Old Shanghai Online is not responsible for any shipping fees. Buyers are responsible for the shipping cost of returning the merchandise, as well as any shipping fees in the case of an exchange.

All merchandise must be returned in its original, saleable condition. Merchandise that are used, worn, soiled or altered by the customer will be refused, discarded or returned to buyer at buyer's expense.

We reserve the right to refuse any request or return packages that are received beyond the 30-day guarantee period.

Refund Process
Once a return package is received, it may take up to 10 business days to process the refund. All refunds are subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless the merchandise is defective or there was some error on our part. The restocking fee will be applied to the price of the merchandise and the associated taxes whenever applicable. Shipping is non-refundable.

Refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment. Please allow up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your account statement. You can always contact us at custserv@oldshanghaionline.com to check on your refund status.
