We have one of the best Online Store Policies anywhere including a 15-day return policy!  Before placing an order at Old Shanghai Online, be sure to read our policies.

Placing Orders
Upon successfully placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation of your receipt. We carefully inspect all of our merchandise before shipping to you.  We want to make sure that you get only the best from us!!

Payment Options
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.  You can also take advantage of PayPal's added security, whether or not they have a PayPal account.  Simply select PayPal at checkout.  All prices are in U.S. dollars. Residents of California will be charged 8.5% sales tax.  There is no sales tax for orders shipped outside of California.

Shipping & Handling
Orders are shipped out within 2 business days (not including holidays and weekends). We work with UPS and United States Postal Service (USPS) to provide cost-effective shipping throughout the United States.  UPS is the only available option for orders shipping to Canada. Because we individually review delivery options for each and every order to find you the quickest, most cost-effective solution, items that are ordered together will not necessarily be shipped together. Heavy or oversized items are subject to a freight surcharge to the regular delivery and handling charges. We will contact you within 2 business days if such freight surcharge is applicable to your order. Note: We are not responsible for any duties and taxes for shipments to other countries (including Canada).

If you are not satisfied with your kimono, iron tea pot, or anything at all, we will gladly refund you!

You can return your order by following these instructions:

Step 1: Get a Return Authorization Code by sending an email to admin@oldshanghaionline.com.

Step 2: Enclose a copy of the email and the original merchandise with all tags in the return package.

Step 3: Label the package clearly with the Return Authorization Code.

Please state the reason for your return, and you will receive a Return Authorization Code within 2 business days of your request. Items returned without a Return Authorization Code will not be accepted. Please note that all returns or exchanges must be made within 15 days of the original delivery date. We will not honor requests or return packages that are received beyond this period of time.

We reserve the right to reject merchandise that are used, worn, soiled or altered by the customer.

All refunds are subjected to a 20% restocking fee. The restocking fee will be applied to the price of the merchandise and the associated taxes, whenever applicable. No exceptions. Old Shanghai Online is not responsible for any freight charges.

Please allow 30 days from the day you return your package for your account to be credited.  Allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your statement.  You can contact us anytime at admin@oldshanghaionline.com to check on the status.

This site runs independently of our stores.  Please do not contact our stores with questions regarding this online store or orders processed through this site.  Email is the best way to get in touch with us and we respond back to all emails within 24 to 48 hours.
